about us

inspired by the most common greeting between us two sisters, yo sis baking co was originally started way back in 2020 during peak quarantine. we made some cookies for our grandma who told us we should sell them. so we did! we developed recipes, delivered to the doorsteps of our customers, and brought joy directly to peoples’ homes. post-covid, yo sis continued as a one woman show during the summers while we finished school and moved away from spokane.

Abbey and Anna, the sisters behind Yo Sis Baking Co

abbey

hello! my name is abbey (left). after being a pediatric oncology nurse for 4 years, i was ready to dip my toe back into the world of food. so i decided to take a break from my job at the hospital and go to italy for an italian pastry program and internship in a michelin starred italian bakery. after a lot of learning, i returned home and went back to work at the hospital, with a new dream unlocked. i wanted to bring the italian desserts i learned how to make to seattle, where there isn’t a big presence (yet). i am so excited to bring both familiar and new treats to you!

anna

hi! i’m the youngest sis, anna (right). i am a 21-year-old, fourth-year undergrad at the university of washington studying conservation biology. while you may think a biologist and baker don’t have much in common, they do say that baking is a science! i am a perfectionist when it comes to cookies, and well, everything. i have worked at restaurants for two years (and counting), so some might say i am a food service pro. i am all about the fruity flavors, and yes, i will take credit for brainstorming some of our more unique cookies such as blueberry muffin and lemon poppyseed. i am so excited that we are able to bring Yo Sis, our baby, to the west side. seattle, please give her a warm welcome!

we both love to travel, watch survivor, go to mariners games, and have dinner parties with our family and friends. come say hi!
